#Traveling Around the U.S. – Site of the Week: Acadia National Park

In a country as large and bustling and developed as America, it』s easy to forget that only a few hundred years ago the country was almost entirely covered by forests.

If you sailed past Acadia National Park, you』d see the same sight as French explorer Antoine de Cadillac when he explored the area 400 years ago.

The park is located on a series of peninsulas and islands off the coast of Maine and is covered with pine forests and sheer granite cliff faces. Visitors can climb the rocky trails of Cadillac mountain. Those who reach the summit early enough can be some of the first to see the sunrise in the United States.
