智慧城市，是把新一代信息技術充分運用在城市的各行各業之中的，基於知識社會下一代創新（創新2.0）的城市信息化高級形態，實現信息化、工業化與城鎮化深度融合，有助於緩解「大城市病」，提高城鎮化質量，實現精細化和動態管理。
智慧城市通過在人力和社會資本，以及在交通和信息通訊基礎設置上的投資來推動可持續經濟增長和高生活質量，並且通過參與式的管理對上面的資源及自然資源進行科學的管理。包括智慧醫療，智慧經濟，智慧政務，智慧運輸業，智慧生活，智能環保等眾多內容。

Prof. Ellen van Bueren
Prof. Ellen van Bueren is professor of Urban Development Management atDelft Universityof Technology and principal investigator at Amsterdam Institute of Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS), a joint initiative by TU Delft, Wageningen Research University and MIT (Boston).
In her research she focuses on the governance of new urban development concepts in which technology and infrastructure play a leading role, such as the zero-carbon city, the smart city, and the circular city. Cities and the servicing infrastructures are being (re)developed in complex settings of public, private and societal stakeholders, which raises a number of governance and management challenges and possible responses.
Mr. Jurjen Veldhuizen
Mr. Jurjen Veldhuizen is Senior Marketing Manager inHuawei Technologies. He Manages a Research department including 40 high skilled professionals focussing on Service Enabling Platforms, Service & Revenue Management and Smart Energy Systems.
Mr. Wibo de Graaff
Mr. Wibo de Graaff has an education background in architectural engineering and civil engineering. Already for more than 25 years, working atSweco, he has been involved in projects related to urban (re)development nationally as well as internationally (e.a. China, The Middle East). As a consultant on civil engineering and project management he strives to work on an integrated design process for the conceptual, preliminary and detail design phases of the urban development process for a location. As all disciplines in the design process, like planning, infrastructure, architecture, mobility and more, interact with each other. Introducing innovations and new concepts in a multidisciplinary design process creates great opportunities to work on sustainable urban development.
