火箭若保持聯盟前3，哈登近5成幾率拿MVP？|德安東尼領跑最佳教練

The Rockets are now the 3rd seed in the West and have the 3rd best record in the league (self.nba)

火箭現在是西部第三， 也是聯盟戰績第三

Sustainable? Really hot right now? Dark horse contender?

Personally, I don"t see them on GS or CLE level (although they already handed an L to the Warriors) but I sure as hell wouldn"t want to see them in the 2nd round.

Thoughts?

I think sometime that"s definitely getting underrated is how good our bench is performing. Gorden goes off with 3s all night, major development in Dekker (taking Brewer minutes THANK GOD), and with Harrell always playing 110% energy

Their play is definitely sustainable IMO. They have a great coach, and everyone is playing better than anyone expected them to. Like with the other teams that heavily utilize the 3 point line they"ll have peaks and troughs through the season, but they shoot the 3 enough that no one should stay in a slump that long.

It will be interesting to see if they can sustain. The warriors proved that you can win a championship relying on the 3 ball... They have a decent shooting core around Harden and he has proven he can get the ball to them. Although Westbrook has more tripdubs, I think Harden has more court awareness. I think you are correct in that they are not on the same level as GS or CLE and they kind of remind me of the Suns when Coach D was there, except Harden is a better scorer than Steve Nash.

I don"t see the Rockets slowing down during the regular season, but I do think they will struggle with veteran teams that can slow down the pace in the playoffs. I think MEM, LAC, and UTA would all be tough matchups for them in addition to the obvious GSW / SAS / CLE group.

D"Antoni implementation of Harden playing pg (even though that is what he technically plays) and the wonderful free agent additions of Gordon are fucking rocking.

The concepts are simple, but so well executed: give Harden the ball and have him cut to the basket. Meanwhile, have everybody off ball move into position. Harden draws defenders. If he has a shot at the goal, take it. Otherwise, kick it out to an open shooter. Its the perfect application of Morey"s principles and it has resulted in scoring totals from players who are really below that level of talent.
