The Title should be "The Healer and The Epidemic", not Fall of Ming as one whole meaning.?

Very enjoyable movie. Thank you for upload. Subtitles were quite understandable. Story seemed to deal more with medical discovery than the actual fall of the Ming D. Interesting all the more; human story.?

Technically it"s not saying it"s the end of Ming, yet what had happened in this movie caused the collapse of Ming.?

This is one of the best historical films I"ve ever watched. The audience can feel the tragic inevitability of the fall of an empire. The Ming Dynasty had horrible luck. In its final few decades, northern China was first hit with flood, then persistent draught, and then a mini ice age. All of which collapsed the economy in northern China and decimated the tax base. Southern China was wealthy, but the lands and industries were controlled by retired court ministers and wealthy merchants under their patronage, so hardly anything was taxed. The Government was starved of funds and supplies, armies of rebels roamed freely across northern and western China, and the Manchus were invading from the north. This disastrous situation was exacerbated by an impatient emperor lacking any real experience in administration and surrounded by ministers who were busy playing party politics. What can a few good men do at this point.?

這是我看過的最好的歷史電影之一。觀眾可以感受到一個帝國不可避免的崩潰。明朝有著糟糕的運氣。在它最後的幾十年里，北中國先遭遇洪水然後就是持續的乾旱，接下來則是小冰河氣候。北中國的經濟與稅收完全被摧毀了。南中國是富裕的，但退休官員及富商控制了土地和產業，所以基本徵不上稅。政府缺乏物資與金錢，叛軍自由的肆虐於中國北部與西部，且滿族從北方入侵。一個沒有實際執政經驗的沒耐心的皇帝與忙於黨爭的高官們使糟糕的局面更加惡化。在這點上幾個好人又能做什麼？
