一、按期回國

學生簽證獲得的一個重要原則是沒有移民傾向，即你要使簽證官確信在完成學業後能按期回國。在闡述的時候，你要證明赴美留學的唯一目的是完成在美的全職學習，只是做短期的臨時居留。同時，要把自身和家庭情況表述清楚，簽證官會考量你在國內的社會地位和社會關係，相信學生會按期回國。你還應當準備學成歸國的計劃，以便進一步表明自己沒有移民傾向，比如：未來職業發展計劃是否和申請的專業有很大的關聯。

二、學生身份和學習動機

面試之前，簽證官會在你所提交的材料上看到你的學生身份，所以，在面試之前，學生身份的確認比較簡單，但要說清楚自己的學習動機則稍顯困難些。對此，你應該清楚地告訴你的簽證官，你的實際情況是怎樣的，這與你所申請的專業有何關係，以及你對專業的認知等內容。要回答這三個問題，就必然要求你對自己有清楚的認識，對申請專業和學校有透徹清晰的了解。而這些都有助於簽證官明確你的學習動機，從而獲得簽證官的信賴。所以，建議在面試前，多多查詢申請學校的官網，結合自己的想法，形成對專業的認識，在面試時，言簡意賅地向簽證官表達出來即可。

三、財務證明

簽證提交的材料中也包含了學生的財務證明，在面試的時候，簽證官依然還會審核這方面的內容。如果你的財務證明非常齊全，你便要用語言向簽證官敘述財務狀況。尤其對一些特殊情況，必須在面試上清楚的向簽證官解釋說明。比如你所提供的存款存期較短，簽證官很可能詢問其原因。那麼你便要給出具有說服力的理由，讓簽證官相信財產來源的合法性以及你在留學期間有穩定的費用來源。在存款金額上也要注意，一般以I-20表上載明的費用為準，本科生提供至少覆蓋三年、研究生提供至少一年的學習和生活費用的存款證明。簽證官對財務證明非常重視，你既要準備充分的證明材料，也需要在面試中邊說邊向簽證官出示相應的證明，最好不要讓簽證官來提醒你，你需要給他看哪些材料。這樣的情況會造成冷場不說，也會給簽證官留下不好的印象。

此外，需要說明的是，你是否有家人在美國，並不影響獲得簽證的資格。如果你所申請的專業及背景有所特殊，可能需要接受額外的審核。建議你做好研究計劃並準備好到時網頁的列印件，這種安全審核一般需要4周左右的時間。
