The first China Unicom IoT Ecosystem Conference debuted in Guangzhou, China Unicom deploying on IoT partner with Ayla Networks

On August 25-26, 2017, the China Unicom IoT Ecosystem Conference that jointly hosted by China Unicom and Guangzhou Municipal Government was held in Guangzhou. The conference attracted thousands of IOT leading enterprises in the industry including IoT chipset, devices module, network communications etc.
At present, China Unicom has completed the NB-IoT network commercial trial in dozens of cities nationwide; furthermore, more than 300 cities in China have been equipped with NB-IoT network quick access ability. At the same time, China Unicom has also opened the eMTC test network in Beijing, Guangdong and other regions, which is ready for commercial trial operations.
Ayla Networks as an important partner of China Unicom was invited on site to present the cooperation projects of the two parties including future IoT solutions such as wisdom cold chain, smart hotels, vehicular networking, smart Home as well as AI scenario applications etc.

State Grid piloted NB-IoT 470M network
Recently, the State Grid Tianjin electric power company constructed two pilot 470M base station wireless networking in Tianjin based on 2017 4G wireless network of pilot project partnering with communication equipment developer (HUAWEI) and meter manufacturers (Wasion, HOLLEY) innovatively using narrow band Networking (NB-IoT) technologies; also deployed three types meters and conducted the testing application with initial achievements.

China Mobile NB-IoT equipment centralized purchasing result released: HUAWEI, ZTE occupied nearly 80 percent shares
China Mobile announced Year 2017 31 provinces of cellular IoT main equipment centralized purchasing results, of which the winning enterprises are HUAWEI, ZTE, Ericsson, NOKIA. HUAWEI, ZTE were the biggest winners of the central purchasing with overall share more than 70%, followed by Ericsson's in third, NOKIA in fourth.
China Mobile's this round of centralized purchasing IoT main base station amounted 146,416. Estimated base station construction in two years overall size more than 400 thousand, with total investment more than 40 billion Yuan. Among them, about 146 thousand new stations will be built in 2017, and the investment will be around 10 billion Yuan.
