BEIJING: China has received the first overseas order to export its bullet train technology as Thailand approved a US $5.5 billion high-speed railway project aimed at linking Bangkok with southern China.

北京：泰國批准了一項耗資55億美元的高鐵項目，旨在將曼谷與中國南部連接起來，中國已獲得了第一個出口高鐵技術的海外訂單。

The project is part of China's huge regional infrastructure plan to build a high-speed rail network connecting the southern city of Kunming with Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

該項目是中國龐大的區域基礎設施建設計劃的一部分，該計劃將建設一個連接南部城市昆明與寮國、泰國、馬來西亞和新加坡的高速鐵路網路。

The high-speed railway is set to start operations in 2021.
