大家對於雞了解多少呢?是不是都覺得雞隻是讓人們餐桌上的美味菜，又或許是每天叫人們起床的一個動物?但這些都只是它的表面，事實上，雞有一個特別讓人震驚的祖先，那就是遠古時期的恐龍，雞的祖先是恐龍，拉倒吧。其實我自己對於這個消息也是非常的震驚，但是為什麼會有這樣的一個說法呢?

我們都知道在遠古時期，那個時候是沒有什麼生物的，而最為我們熟悉的就是恐龍，甚至我們會覺得那個時候只有恐龍的存在。但是現在卻是各種各樣的生物，所以我們不妨可以猜想地球上大部分的生物都是由恐龍慢慢演化而來的。對於雞的祖先，我們也可以進行猜想，雞有翅膀，也會飛，所以不妨猜想雞也算一種鳥類。

其實在19世紀，科學家們就進行了相關的研究，雞事實上是就是一種鳥類，更加確切的說，是始祖鳥。那麼又有人要說了，既然都說了是鳥類，那麼和恐龍有什麼關係呢?

說到這裡，就不得不從鳥類的祖先說起，一位歷史博物館的館長曾經說過，恐龍的遺傳信息被破譯，為那些已經滅絕了的生物的研究打開了新的大門，為什麼呢?因為在恐龍身上所獲的新發現將恐龍與現代的很多鳥類聯繫了起來，他們覺得鳥類是由恐龍進化而來的。

他們的這種猜想完全是基於恐龍與鳥類的骨骼結構，恐龍與鳥類的DNA序列非常的相似，甚至契合度達到了80%，雖然從恐龍身上沒有提取足夠的DNA，但是現在已知的DNA序列是有關係的，這也就證明了恐龍是鳥類的祖先這一說明有了一個理論的證據，這對於科學界來說可是一件相當震撼的大事。

而為了證明這一猜想，科學家們也將在不同的地方去找埋在各地的一些恐龍骨架，讓他們的猜想得到更加讓人信服的證據。所以根據這一發現，我們可以知道始祖鳥的祖先很可能也是恐龍，所有的鳥類都是恐龍的後裔。

從恐龍到鳥類的過渡過程非常的散亂，而且鳥類在進化的早期，需要形成前額骨，要變得非常的長，也就是現在所說的鳥喙。雖說始祖鳥有翅膀和羽毛，但是拋開這些你們會發現，他們看起來其實和恐龍非常的相似，甚至骨骼也非常的吻合，所以對於雞是恐龍的後裔的這一說法，看起來似乎不無道理。

雞的直接祖先是始祖鳥，而始祖鳥的祖先是恐龍，直接說雞的祖先是恐龍也確實沒有錯，只是對於這一說法，還沒有確切的證據，但是科學家們卻萌生了一種特別奇葩的想法，就是通過雞的DNA來複活恐龍，甚至製造出一種新的生物：恐龍雞。只是現在還沒有什麼新的進展。
