除了「泰囧」清邁也有攝影節！第二屆清邁攝影節2月開幕

2017年2月3日，第二屆清邁攝影節（Chiangmai Photo Festival）在泰國清邁府開幕，展出的攝影作品主要關注年輕的新銳攝影師，試圖探索通過攝影語言，從美學角度表達思想以及觀點。此外，攝影節本身也為東南亞國家聯盟的年輕藝術家提供了重要的交流、展示平台。

The compiling of the photographic works focusing on young emergent artists. The collaborative project from both Thai and International photographic related Universities has been initiated to aesthetically express the ideas as well as point of view through photographic language. Moreover, the festival itself is a vital platform for young emerging ASEAN artists, which enables them to develop their potentiality as well as their body of work. The academic upshot of photographic study in South East Asia would also be reflected.

主展覽 （Main Exhibition）

年輕之眼+（Young Eyes+）

該展覽的參展作品由泰國本土大學及世界多所大學聯合發起的攝影項目，參與者均為各國家、地區年輕的、極具代表性的攝影師。展覽本身反映出世界各地年輕人在攝影實踐過程中獨特的、多樣性的觀察方式，以及時代潮流、個性和審美等信息。

特別策展 | 身體邂逅（Body As Encounters）

自從攝影術被發明開始，攝影師們就已經將鏡頭對準人類的身體。此次展覽涵蓋了8組在東南亞創作的攝影作品，時間跨度從20世紀70年代至今，標記了攝影從模擬模擬到自拍時代的過渡。

參展攝影師們試圖發掘身體以及肖像、自拍照等多種形式的可能性。通過他們的多種嘗試，人類的身體已經成為一個協作與表演的場所；一艘滿載著模糊回憶與故事的船隻；以及一個實驗與交流的媒介。

集體經驗（Collective Experiences）

《集體經驗》展覽探討的是關於地點、記憶、身份以及後果等概念的疑問，這些問題引發了藝術家們創作的靈感。藝術家們看著各自的過去、現在與未來，將個人與政治的思想融合起來。他們所選擇的創作手法與主題各不相同。此次展出的攝影創作方式包括替代、重建、構建影像、模擬以及數碼等。

重點展覽（Highlight Exhibition）

本展覽可分為三部分：

第一部分是為了紀念泰國國王拉瑪九世，展現他在位時期發生的眾多皇家事件。本次展覽的重要性在於，以純照片的形式，展示了許多之前人們熟悉的照片，同時也有部分照片首次向公眾展出。這部分還包括了黑白以及紅外線攝影作品。展出的三位藝術家作品將集中展示三個不同的城市。比如：《暹羅基底》（The Base of Siam）、Muang Krung Muang Thep以及素可泰（Sukhotai）。這也是三位藝術家的首次聚首。

第二部分近期將在美國佛羅里達州的代托納比奇展出。展出的作品由半畫幅相機拍攝完成。展覽的最後部分邀請了兩位世界級知名攝影家參展，作品來自他們創作的《街拍泰國》（Street Photo Thailand）系列。

Main Exhibition

Young Eyes+

A collaborative exhibition features works of young emerging, the representative artists selected from photographic related programmes of Thailand and international universities. The exhibition itself aims to reflect the diverse ways of seeing, trend of generation, characteristic and aesthetic in photograph- ic practice across the world.

These works of the talented young practitioner artists from Thai and international universities might be mindful to local audiences as well as new arising artist in Thailand.

Body As Encounters

Since the inception of photography, practitioners have been directing the camera on the human body. This group exhibition features eight bodies of work made in Southeast Asia from the 1970s to the present moment, marking photography』s transition from an analogue practice to the selfie age.

The featured practitioners explored the possibilities of the body and portraiture/self-portraiture in their works. Through their varying practices, the body becomes a site of collaboration and performance, a vessel of obscured memories and narratives, and a medium of experimentation and communication.

Collective Experiences

The exhibition 「Collective Experiences」 investigates the inspirations of artists who question notions of place, memory, identity, and consequence. These artists merge the personal and political as they look at their past, present and future. The artists selected vary in their technical approaches and subject matter. Photographic methods exhibited include alternative process, re/constructed imagery, analogue and digital process.

This exhibition curated by Patricia Lois Nuss, which will be featured within the 2017 Chiang Mai Photography Festival, is a collaboration of international ties and features the works of contemporary fine art photographers working professionally within the United States.

The highlights of this exhibition are divided into three parts.

The first part of this exhibition is to honor King Rama IX in his many royal events. The remarkableness of this exhibition is attributed to the photographs, some of which people may be already familiar with, and some photographs which have never been published before.

The first portion of the exhibition features rarely-seen black & white and infra- red photography. This three-artist exhibit gathers photographic works focused on the merging of three cities into 「Three Kingdoms」. For example: 「The Base of Siam」, 「Muang Krung Muang Thep」, and 「Sukhotai」, a previously-unreleased work. This is the first time which all three of these artists gathered. The exec- utive directors of The Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (RPST) are hon- ored to represent part of this photo exhibition.

The second part of this exhibition was recently exhibited in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA since November of 2016. This exhibition is presented via half-frame camera which has a center line dividing a film into two frames.

The final part of the exhibition consists of the world-class, award winning photographic works of 2 artists from 「Street Photo Thailand」.
