高中被捧的最厲害的球員是誰？

Obviously everyone talks about Lebron but I was wondering if others have reached that level. There are guys like Zion Williamson and the ball brothers from Chino Hills who are really hyped up. Who was the most hyped up and covered player in high school?

很明顯大家都會說是詹姆斯，但我好奇有沒有其他人達到過那個級別。有一些球員比如說錫安威廉姆森，還有現在很明顯被吹上天的奇諾高中的鮑爾兄弟 。誰是高中里最被吹上天又達到了自己被預期水平的球員？

Time Magazine ran a piece titled 「The Courtship of Lew Alcindor" back in the mid 60"s when Kareem was still in HS.

I don"t know.. honestly I thought this "Chosen One" would have at least been President by now and on the level of people like Einstein, Mandela, and Ghandi.. I"ve kind of been let down

Well, outside of LeBron, quite a few guys have gotten major hype over the years.

Andrew Wiggins is one. His HS mixtapes were ridiculous. People forget how hyped up Anthony Davis was when he was being recruited to play college ball. He was a 6"4" guard who grew six inches out of nowhere in his last year of HS ball, so he was basically a PG in a PF/C"s body. To a lesser extent, Andre Drummond. There was major hype surrounding Drummond and his reclassification to the 2011 recruiting class because he was 6"10" 275 and moved around like he weighed like 70 pounds lighter.

The hype for Wiggins was pretty crazy, obviously doesn"t come close to Lebron hype but everyone I knew who was into basketball was talking about Wiggins. Telfair hype was pretty insane as well, he was supposed to be the next great nba guard from NY

Slight throwback picks would be DaJuan Wagner and Sebastian Telfair. Wagner scored like a hundred points in a game once and the hype around him was pretty crazy. Telfair was on an SI cover with LeBron and built up to be a future star as well.

But yeah, the hype surrounding LeBron was another story. He was given the nicknames "The Prodigy" and "The Chosen One" for a reason.

稍微差一點的應該就是瓦格納和特爾菲爾了。瓦格納高中單場砍下過100分，當時被吹的就很兇了。特爾菲爾和詹姆斯上了體育畫報的封面，同時也被看作是未來之星。

但沒錯，當時的詹姆斯吹確實是另一個級別的。人們稱他為「天才」和「天選之子」是有原因的。

It"s still not even close to Lebron but Jabari Parker was ridiculously hyped and I think people forget about that. He was on the cover of SI in high school too. I drove an hour and a half to watch his team destroy my school"s team when I was in high school.

雖然跟詹姆斯完全不是一個檔次，但是賈巴里-帕克當時也是被無限吹捧，人們現在好像都忘記了這一點。他高中也上了體育畫報的封面。我高中開了一個半小時的車去看比賽，結果就看到他的球隊把我高中的球隊按在地上摩擦。
