『Dream』 seems to be the key word to understand the world, on the line between reality and fiction, created by 30 year-old French photographer Zacharie Gaudrillot-Roy in his series Dusk to Dawn: the dreams his human subjects ruminate on as they wander at night in the streets of Los Angeles—the city of Hollywood, the city of movies, the city of (broken?) dreams.

It is dark. The sun was replaced by artificial lights such as cars, streets, buildings, etc. The night changed the face of the city in a huge movie and did not look like the day. Here and there, some people see the camera, maybe their future, or dream of something. Or they are lost in the street, looking for something like an actor has no character.

Zacharie s first interest in photography is to capture a scene that reflects his own views on things and creates a pause time idea. Photography gave him a kind of ability to express feelings without the use of words, with the image to criticize the reality. He likes to doubt the possibility of the world, so the reality is often incorporated into the novel in his visual story (whether by one or more images). Zacharie tries to give viewers a subjective view that can inspire them to ask their own questions.

In his works, he often locates himself as a bystander of a seemingly distant, almost dramatic world. Although the audience is still a bit out of the way, but can freely change what their thoughts are. This is another thing that Zacharie is interested in photography: when the observer becomes an actor or a narrator to some extent.
