He never was that great of a shooter. Now that Kanter is down I expect it to go even lower.

He needs to let Oladipo do the 3-point shooting, but apparently the only people Russ trusts on the team are Kanter and Adams. Dipo may as well not even exist when he"s out there with Russ. I"m surprised he"s even putting up the solid stats that he is. He pretty much just plays by himself, while Russ either takes mind-bogglingly bad shots or passes inside to Kanter/Adams.

It"s a shame because these guys are on paper THE most athletic backcourt in the league and should have absolutely no issues just carving through the defense on their way to the rim. But since Russ loves hero ball Dipo has been reduced to a glorified spot-up shooter,

I mean he"s shooting 33% on them this month, that"s not horrible. Harden is shooting 34% on 9 3s a game for the year for context. 33% from 3 is the equivalent of 50% from 2, and since he doesn"t shoot 50% from 2 either, it at least makes sense that he"s doing it.

No, it"s bad. 33% is way below league average, which is 36%. Someone shooting at that rate has no business taking 9 threes a game.

Russ was consistently missing everything too. Russ single handily brought down their shooting % by several %. You can"t make the argument that he should keep jacking up shots when the rest of the team is shooting better than him.
