Doc Rivers was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers from the Boston Celtics in 2013, in large part because he did not want to be a part of a rebuilding team. The Boston Celtics have now reached the Conference Finals before Doc and the Clippers (self.nba)

Doc was traded for an unprotected Clippers 1st round pick on June 25, 2013. He became Head Coach, but he did also get roster control eventually as President of Basketball Operations. Something he would not have gotten in Boston obviously.

I don"t disagree with you that Doc is overrated... but he was able to make that team work. Rondo is clearly a headcase for coaches he doesn"t get along with --true, having the Celtics big 3 to mentor you as a young player is helpful, but Doc clearly has Rondos respect, you don"t get that through other people. Look at that recent Area 21 clip where Doc comes on, all those guys clearly respect him and he was the head coach that got that team to be so special and close. He"s a players coach, and idk if literally ANY coach in the world could have won that chip, they did beat a great Laker team in the finals that only needed 5 games to dethrone the previous Champion Spurs.

I don"t get why everyone sees Steve Kerr as this genius coach and then shit on Doc when Kerr actually has been gifted the greatest team on paper of all time AND hes had replacements do just as well as he would.

Also, I really hate making excuses for the Clips, since they"re annoying and we beat them because of this excuse... but they are fucking cursed with injuries year after year after year.

你說里弗斯被高估我不反駁，但他有自己的魔法可以讓那支球隊運轉起來。隆多對於那些他不是很喜歡相處的教練來說就是個讓人頭疼的毛病-----雖然說，有凱爾特人的三巨頭在你還是個年輕球員的時候指導你會有幫助，但是里弗斯顯然很受隆多的尊敬，而在別人那基本沒有這種情況。看看最近Area21里弗斯上節目時候的一些片段，他們所有人明顯都很尊敬讓球隊變得特殊並緊密的主教練里弗斯。他是球員們的教練，而且我真的不知道別的任何一個教練到底能不能帶領他們拿到那個冠軍。他們確實擊敗了一支很偉大的湖人，而且這支湖人只用了5場就擊敗了衛冕冠軍馬刺。

我不知道為啥大家都把科爾視作是天才，然後噴里弗斯，科爾才是被賜予了歷史上最強紙面陣容的人啊，而且也有替代了他的人做到了跟他一樣優秀的表現。

I would argue that Brad Stevens is the reason the Celtics are where they are. Whatever he"s doing to unlock the full potential of IT, Crowder, etc is absolutely astounding.

But, one could argue that the Clippers are just as much of a title contender (when healthy) as the Celtics, plus the Clippers were ready to contend when he got there. Not trying to disrespect the Celtics, but I really don"t believe Doc believes he was beating Lebron anytime soon in the playoffs. In the West, on the other hand, the Clippers, when healthy had a shot.

I mean...as much as I want to agree with this since I like the Clippers, they still blew a 3-1 lead plus they had a chance to win the series but they blew the lead with Harden sitting on the bench. At one point, you just wonder if it"s bad luck or something else.

All of those Clippers teams are better than this current Celtics team. If you put the Clippers in the East, they"re in the ECF every year. I dunno about beating Lebron, but they will get their shot pretty much every year. The Clippers are beating the Celtics, Raptors, Pacers, and Wizards in a 7 game series for sure.

The Clippers are a bigger "title contender" than the Celtics. Getting to the ECF is an accomplishment, but it"s way easier getting there than the WCF.

Boston is still alive in the playoffs and the Clips went out weeks ago. Celts also had a better record. Celtics had better odds going into the playoffs. Not really sure how the Clips are a bigger contender. They were 2 years ago. They might be next year but they sure as hell ain"t in 2017.

凱爾特人還在打季後賽而快船幾周前就出局了。凱爾特人還有更優秀的常規賽戰績。凱爾特人進入季後賽的概率也比快船高。真的不是很明白為啥快船就成了更大的冠軍爭奪者了。他們兩年前是，明年也可能是，但是2017年，絕對不是。
