大悲禪院，座落在天津市河北區天緯路中段東北側，因供奉大慈大悲觀世音菩薩而得名，是天津現存規模最大、歷史最為悠久的佛門十方叢林寺院。寺廟殿宇崇峻，青磚綠瓦，宏偉壯觀，大雄寶殿正中供奉釋迦佛祖金身像為明代銅鑄，連同千佛蓮花底座通高五米，重約六噸。銅像線條清晰和諧，鑄工精細，堪稱佛門奇寶，被列為國家二級文物。

The Great Mercy Temple which is situated at north east side of middle section of Tianwei Road in Hebei District is the largest and the oldest existedBuddhisttemple in the jungle in Tianjin, where is known for worshiping dedicated to the compassionate Avalokitesvara.The houses of temple are towering，spectacularand splendid with gray bricks and green tiles.In the Mahavira Hall, there is a golden Buddha of Sakyamuni being worshiped, which is 5 meter in height together with the thousand-Buddha lotus pedestal and is more than 6 ton in weight.The bronze statue is well casted with distinct andharmoniousoutline, being classified as the second degree national heritage and being rated as Buddhist treasure.
