Down came the rain and washed the spider out.

下起了雨，把蜘蛛沖走了。

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain.

太陽出來了，雨水幹了。

註：這首歌還有其他版本，itsy bitsy, incy wincy, eensy weensy 都是簡單、押韻的詞，模仿寶寶說話的方式，來表示「小」的意思。

這兩句話都是個倒裝句—先說方位詞，down和out。這樣的句子其實都是很口語化的句子，還有一句話也是同樣的倒裝結構，生活當中經常可以用：Here comes… ……來了。

可以用來介紹一個物品，或者表示一個東西靠近了。比如，Here comes the bus. 公交車到啦。

講故事的時候如果需要出現一個玩偶，比如泰迪熊，teddy bear, 可以把teddy bear放在身後，然後說:Here comes teddy bear!與此同時把泰迪熊拿出來。
