in還是on the morning傻傻分不清楚？

In the morning是小學孩子們一開始學習英語的時候接觸的最基本的時間狀語。除了In the morning還有In the afternoon，in the evening。

比如：

They have to get up early in the morning.

他們大清早就得起床。

I"ll fly it to London in the morning

我明天上午會把它用航空快件寄到倫敦。

使用In the morning的時候孩子們很不容易犯錯，在上午/在早晨這樣的意思都記得很牢。

但是有一天我們又遇到這樣的句子：

On the Sunday morning, May phoned.

星期天的早晨，梅打過電話來。

在早晨不是in the morning嗎？？？怎麼又會有on the morning？

今天我們要分享的一個知識點就是介詞on/in接時間的區別。

in the morning（afternoon／evening）表示「在早上（下午）晚上」之意，

而on the Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday/…morning（afternoon／evening）則表示「在某個具體的一天的早上（下午／晚上）

比如：We will have a party on Friday night.

我們周五晚上有個聚會。

Our flight leaves on Monday morning.

我們的航班周一早上起飛。

我們的爸爸媽媽怎麼幫孩子鞏固這個知識呢？我們可以自己想出一些合適、簡單的語境和孩子一起練習。例如：

A: What are you going to do this weekend?

B: I"m going to buy a book.

A: When are you going to buy a book? On Saturday or on Sunday?

B: On Sunday.

A: On Sunday morning or on Sunday afternoon?

B: On Sunday morning.
