How would Magic do in the NBA today? (self.nba)

魔術師在現今的聯盟中會表現怎樣？

I never watched him play in real life but just from looking at his stats it doesnt look like he was a great jump shooter. How would that effect his ability at PG today? I think in todays game he would work better as a point-forward type player kind of like Lebron. Defensively he isnt as good and hes nowhere near as fast or strong as Lebron. However he has way better ball control and is the GOAT passer.

Of course he was such a unique and skilled player he would still be a star but do you guys think he would still be one of the greatest ever if he played today??

我從來沒在現場看過他打球，但是單從他的數據來看，魔術師的跳投並不好，如果他在現在的聯盟中打PG的話，這會對其造成多大的影響呢？我覺得在如今的比賽中，魔術師作為一個像勒布朗這樣的控球前鋒會更好的發揮自己的作用。防守端他沒有勒布朗出色，而且在速度和身體強壯方面也比勒布朗差遠了，但是他的控球能力要高出勒布朗非常多，而且擁有著歷史上最偉大的傳球。

當然魔術師是個如此特別，技術非常出眾的球員，如果他在現今的聯盟里打球的話，他仍然會是個球星，但是大家覺得如果魔術師是在當代打球的話，他還能成為歷史上最偉大的球員之一嗎？

He could adjust, but he"d be a 6"9 PG that could play center. He scored 42 points and brought down 15 rebounds as a center in game 6 of the Finals in his rookie year.

He"d be fine in any era.

Prime magic would he very similar to LeBron, with better passing, slightly worse scoring, and worse defense. Either way prime magic is right up there with LeBron at the top of the league, probably a 1b to 1a type situation

Not just slightly worse scoring, way worse, and way worse defense as well.

LeBron is on another level in terms scoring, more efficient and better shooter from the field and 3. Magic set shot was bad, thats why he was only great from the line.

正是這樣，但是你能看到在魔術師生涯尾端的時候他改善了自己的三分球投射，而且他在罰球線附近的命中率總是非常高，沒有任何理由讓我相信他無法投籃。

魔術師放現在就是個行走的錯位球員，他能利用自己在體型上的優勢在低位去單打任何小一號的後衛，他是個被低估的得分手，並且是他那個時代最高效的得分手之一（真的就是這樣，儘管他的出手頻率並不高）。魔術師能夠非常頻繁的站上罰球線，現在的聯盟也延續了這樣的打法，顯然他還是歷史上最偉大的傳球手，在轉換進攻中幾乎無法阻擋。

在防守端，魔術師不能去直接防守頂尖的能夠利用掩護得分的後衛（從而幾乎所有的後衛他都防不了），但是他能夠非常好的去限制對方的前鋒，並且是個出色的協防者，能夠在小個陣容中打4號位，從而創造差距非常大的錯位。

魔術師是我希望現在能看到他們打球的傢伙之一，雖然他需要調整一下自己的比賽風格從而適應現在的比賽，但是魔術師在現金仍然崛起，並達到自己史上最佳的名聲。

Very well. You could see towards the end of his career improved three point shooting and he was always great from the FT line, no reason for me to believe he"d be a non shooter.

Magic would still be a walking mismatch using his size to his advantage against smaller guards in the post, an underrated scorer that was one of the most efficient of his time period (really ever, even though he wasn"t a high volume scorer). Got to the free throw line a ton and that would continue in today"s league, obviously an all time great passer as well that was virtually unstoppable in transition

Defensively he"d need to be hidden when faced with elite guards who utilize screens to score (so basically all of them) but he could guard forwards well, was a good help defender and could play the 4 in some small lineups creating some ridiculous cross matchups

Magic is one of those guys I wish I could see play in today"s era. Would have to adjust his game a bit but would still thrive and live up to his reputation as an all time great

i haven"t watched magic much, but i hear some analysts say lebron and magic are a good comparison rather than lebron to jordan because lebron and magic had similar playing styles. he may or may not be a point guard in today"s game, but i imagine he would still dominate.

I think he"d be LeBron minus. There"s no way he"d be a PG these days, but with his talents he"d still be a premier point forward.

我覺得他就會是稍微弱化版的勒布朗，現在魔術師已經不可能再打控衛了，但是考慮到他的天賦，他仍然會是個頂尖的控球前鋒。

How do you think he would compare to Durant or PG though who are also great ball handlers?

They aren"t comparable to him with ball handling. Durant has an edge on pure scoring and defense though, although not enough to put him over prime magic. Durant is sorta the modern Larry bird in a lot of ways and see how those comparisons went

He is the 3rd best player of all-time, he"d kill in any era. With how much better shooters and spacing has gotten I think Magic would be even more effective. Defensively you could put him on a shooter and let him use his IQ to roam and help when needed.
