Gao Fan and his wife Niu Weiyu have made photography their life-long career. They participated in the revolutionary cause since the anti-Japanese war era, using photography to achieve their ideal of national salvation. 高帆（1922-2004），浙江蕭山人，1938年參加革命，曾任八路軍一二九師政治部幹事、晉冀魯豫軍區政治部宣傳科科長等職，建國後，曾任解放軍畫報社總編輯、社長，中國攝影家協會主席、名譽主席。
