A team like OKC doesn"t get to pick which stars it wants. It has to get talent to come to OKC even if flawed. The elite free agents aren"t going to sign there, so if you have a chance at one, even if they are injury prone, you take him.

They had success because they took a risk on Hedo and Rashard Lewis to pair with Dwight.

Anyone who thinks the thunder is gonna pursue Griffin is being stupid. We don"t need another big, we need a solid 3 player. Every off season a rumor about OKC pursuing someone happens, and every year it"s a smokescreen for something else. I say OKC is pursuing Butler, but that"s a long shot.

If Griffin wants to come here at all, there is not a chance in hell we wouldn"t do everything possible to get him here. He doesn"t fill a hole in our roster, but he is top 10 when healthy and a small market team like OKC would have to be retarded to pass up talent like that.

I would vastly prefer a PG13, or a Jimmy B, or even Hayward. But there"s almost no chanve that any of those guys are looking at OKC and saying "I want to live there." The only thing we can sell those guys is building a contender, but if you look at our roster and cap situation, it"s a hard sell.

At first I was against the idea of a Blake Griffin joining the Thunder, but I"m not trying to see Russ waste his prime. He needs another star and that is exactly what Blake is.

That is a good chunk of change to leave on the table, especially for a guy who is so reliant on athleticism and has an extensive injury history.

I just don"t see him leaving LAC as long as they offer him the max.

These People sometimes sound like they stopped watching NBA in 2012.

In the past months i"ve seen hugely upvoted comments saying stuff about Blake Griffin that was only legit criticism for his very first seasons, and seems like other teams" fans don"t see that he"s arguably the player that changed the most since got into the league regarding playstyle, he"s a do-it-all player now.

"We need spacing, Griffin can"t bring that to us, he"s just muscles in the paint" as a celtics said and many agreed. my ass.

Top notch mid-range for a pf, top notch handles and passing (being probably the best big man in these 2), and still really tough to guard on the paint. Sure he has his flaws, and he"s not nearly as exciting to watch as a few years ago, but it gets my nerves when people talk shit about him but haven"t watched or researched anything of him in past years. He"s better and more complete now, guys, any team could benefit from a healthy Blake Griffin.

Griffin"s jumper is still very unreliable, especially at end of games. He is skilled, but without his athleticism, he"s just a good offensive PF who is a bad defender for his position
