The Atlanta Hawks turned Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Al Horford, and Dwight Howard into Mike Dunleavy, Mo Williams, a 1st-rounder, Marco Belinelli, Miles Plumlee, and a 2nd rounder (self.nba)

I know Horford wasn"t actually traded, but people were screaming for management to trade him for more than a year before he walked for nothing. These series of moves have to get you thinking what their long term plans are. Millsap is 32 years old, what do you do about him?

Not really an ouch. The Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver moves were especially beneficial for us. We were hesitant to max Al Horford so he walked. Understandable either way honestly. This Dwight Howard situation is the main question mark.

Teague for Prince. Okay, fine. If you look at the Korver trade in a vacuum, then it"s fine. But the trade was not in a vacuum. It was a year after they let Horford go for nothing (when they could have traded him) and it was in the same year that they did not trade Milsap (when they could have). Why trade Korver but not Milsap? Why let Horford walk and sign Howard?
Budenholzer is a good coach who did a bad job as GM. Dual role is tough, and he sucked at it. If they played this right, they could have walked away with at least four first round picks, maybe a little bit more than that.

That 60-win season was both the best and worst thing to happen to this franchise. On the positive side, it was a fun ride that galvanized the fanbase after moving out from under the black cloud of the Spirit Group, and made the Hawks fun to follow again. On the negative side, it planted the seed in our heads that we could potentially compete with just random replacement level talent, when that flat out is not true.

This is a little misleading.
Teague was traded to the Pacers for their lottery pick and they selected Taurean Prince. Early returns look good for this trade.
They traded half a season of Korver for the Cavs 2019 pick (top ten protected). That"s probably a good trade.
They let Horford walk. Howard was a salary dump.

If they"re rebuilding, why would they give Horford a max in his later years?
D12 trade lets them re-sign Hardaway and clear cap space.

D12 trade is pretty bad on its own, but your other points are good
AND
Jeff Teague became Taurean Prince + Dennis starting
Kyle Korver was traded for Dunleavy who is basically his equivalent in value + a 1st round pick
Horford for the max at 30 years old just makes no sense for any team
Everything besides this Dwight trade has been fine up until this point, so I"m holding out for the next move that makes this a good trade. Hopefully.....

給已經30歲的霍弗德頂薪，對任何球隊都沒什麼意義。
除了霍華德的交易以外，所有的操作，在目前看來都是有好處的。我堅信，管理層通過進一步的操作可以把這樁交易變成好事。但願吧……
