1964 NBA Finals 20 minutes of NEVER-before-seen highlights. PRIME Wilt Chamberlain"s Warriors vs Bill Russell"s Celtics!

1964年總決賽從未面世的20分鐘集錦，巔峰張伯倫的勇士隊VS比爾拉塞爾的凱爾特人隊！

我收集了6個視頻資源做成合集，儘可能最全面的給大家介紹1964年的總決賽，視頻合集長度差不多是1964年總決賽的5分之一，而更確切來說都是來自G4和G5的鏡頭（凱爾特人5場比賽就解決了勇士）。

視頻資源詳情如下：

G4下半場90%的高光鏡頭

G5整場比賽40%的高光鏡頭（這是之前從來沒面世的）

3個包含額外的G5鏡頭的新聞短片。

一小部分額外的G5視頻是在張伯倫紀錄片發現的。

這些加起來的合集差不多是1964年NBA總決賽的5分之一的樣本量，考慮到那個時代98%的比賽都沒有錄像保存，所以不算是一個看待1964年總決賽的糟糕視角。

I combined 6 sources of clips to bring you guys as comprehensive a look as possible of the 1964 NBA Finals. The combined footage approximates 1/5th of the 1964 NBA Finals, and more specifically it all came from G4 and G5 (Celtics beat out the Warriors in 5 games).

Sources are as follows:

· 90% of the 2nd half of G4

· 40% of G5 from throughout the game (this has never been seen before)

· 3 News reels that contained additional footage of G5

· A small handful of additional G5 clips that were found in a Wilt Chamberlain documentary

All of these together add up to a sample size approximately 1/5th of the 1964 NBA Finals. Not a bad glimpse considering 98% of that era does not exist on film!

You know what the frustrating thing is? The NBA has so much high-quality footage from the 1960s that they just won"t release. I guess there"s not enough of a demand for it or they don"t realize there is.

Anyway, this is legitimately great basketball. There are some crazy passes, blocks, alley-oops and everything. The dribbling looks awkward but that"s because of extremely strict carrying rules.

That"s what surprised me about this footage. The dribbling is the only thing that doesn"t look as modern and even then it"s really not that bad. Plus these guys are playing in Chuck Taylors. I thought Lebron and Shaq had jacked up feet. Wilt and Bill"s probably look terrible.

The offense looks surprisingly competent. People made jumpers, multiple variants of the hook shot, strong post moves, and solid passings. The game may have evolved into a completely looking form but the old players like Russell and Wilt were the best of their era which should count for more than it usually does.

I mean some gut did a sweeping sky hook and nailed it. That"s a tough shot to hit and they were great at it back then.

The fact that there is never before seen NBA finals footage out there is sad to me. NBA needs to do a better job of letting the fan base enjoy this old stuff.

The NBA has been working on digitizing it"s old archives for YEARS. The problem is after a flurry of stories that they were doing it, they haven"t said a word about it. No one"s quite sure what the status of the project is.

that was really entertaining...a couple things popped out at me: that turn around bank shot by wilt was money. i had always associated it w tim dunccan. man! wilt was dynamic...there s no big men like that anymore.

the dribbling skill is like below dleague level. the granny style freethrows are weird. it s obvious that rookies today are coming into the league w way more skills.

last thing, looks like celts had better shooters.

運球技術是低於發展聯盟級別的，奶奶風格的罰球很怪異，很明顯的是如今的新秀進聯盟時技巧要好得多。

All true points.

Will point out that the dribble envelope had yet to be pushed by players like Archie Clark, Iverson, etc. Those guys made refs re-think the rulebook. Before them, "palms down" was striclty enforced. So it looks very vanilla. And you"d best give the ball up to the little guys back then who could protect it close to the ground, none of the big forwards took more than 3 dribbles back then.
