新中國為何在1949年能成立，毛主席做了什麼？

有個老外學者寫了本書，客觀的評價了毛主席與蔣介石的歷史：

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was founded in 1921 by MaoZedong and a small group of followers. After Chiang massacred thousandsof communists in Shanghai in 1927, Mao and his force of 100,000troops set off on the legendary 『Long March』, the survivors ending upin the north-western province of Shensi. From there the communistsengaged in guerrilla action against Japan and in the process built up alarge, peasant-based army. By 1945, when the Japanese surrendered,the communists had almost a million troops, occupied one-quarter ofChina and governed almost 100 million people.（南昌起義時TG有10萬軍隊，在抗日過程中發展壯大，1945年日本投降時，毛主席領導的進步力量已經控制全中國4分之1的土地和1億人口。）

Chiang was more concernedwith the enemy within than the enemy without.

Chiang failed to win over the peasants in villages becausehe was unwilling to introduce land reform for fear of alienating hissupport among the landlords.

Marshall, whowas now Secretary of State, refused to meet the NationalistGovernment』s request for an increase in military supplies and declaredthat the United States would only support Chiang 『for so long as hewas supportable』

（蔣介石喜歡認為日本是外敵，危險性不如內部敵人，而且也不進行土地改革，失去了廣大農民階層的支持。1948年，美國時任國務卿馬歇爾不同意給蔣介石增加軍事援助，也不給予蔣介石政府足夠的外交支持。）

×總之，在美蔣兩方的聯合作死下，毛主席領導廣大工農階級團結奮鬥，建立了新中國，開創社會主義建設的新時代。
