23.王舍城最窮的人

王舍城裡有一個窮人，家徒四壁，唯一的家產就是一張長凳。他每天晚上就睡在長凳上。

他不僅窮，還是一個吝嗇人，他也知道自己的這個毛病，但就是改不了。

有一天，他去竹林精捨去拜見佛陀，對佛陀說：「如果我發財了，我絕對不會像現在這樣吝嗇。」

佛祖看他很真誠的樣子，就讓馬勝尊者給了他一個裝錢的袋子，說：「這個袋子里有一枚金幣，你只要取出它來，裡面就會又有一枚金幣，但是當你想花錢時，只有把這個袋子扔掉，才能花錢。」

那個窮人很高興，拿著袋子離開了。回到家就不斷地往外拿金幣，整整一個晚上逗沒合眼，家裡到處都是金幣。這一輩子，他就是什麼也不做，這些錢也足夠花的了。可是，每當他決定扔掉那個袋子時，都捨不得。於是，他就不吃不喝地一直往外拿著金幣，直到院子里也滿是金幣。

可是，他還是對自己說：「我不能把袋子扔了，錢還在源源不斷地出，還是讓錢更多一些的時候再把袋子扔掉吧！」

第三天，他累死了。

The poor man was glad to leave with the bag. Home constantly to win gold, make a whole night without sleep, the home is full of gold coins. This life, he is not doing anything, the money is enough to spend. But when he decided to throw away the bag, he was reluctant to give up. So he took the gold out of the house without eating or drinking until the yard was full of gold.

However, he still said to himself: "I can not throw the bag, the money is still in an endless stream, or let the money a little more time to throw the bag away!"

The third day, he tired.
