A contemplative exploration of the craft asan object that is re interpreted in an industrial world of mass production. Thefilm shows the three steps in the journey of the craft as an object. As aunique piece, as a systematic production, and finally, again as a unique pieceintervene by Guangxi local artists and calligraphers.The work of master Mr.Huang requieres a technical and artistic expertise but his innovative mind gavehim the opportunity to create a marketable business from fan making. His talentnot only helped improve his life and his family』s but also the families around Lingchuan county that benefit from working in the factory.

路易斯說，他喜歡中國的文化，喜歡中國的一切。這枚中國的小粉絲，因為「看中國」項目，第一次來到了中國。此次「看中國·廣西行」，他把他的鏡頭對焦在桂林集扇齋團扇手工藝人黃碩夫的身上。

團扇的每一個製作細節，路易斯都想把握，也都想嘗試。他向黃碩夫學習書法、水墨畫、製作團扇的骨架，去體會製作的那種心境和感覺。讓路易斯驚訝的是「一隻竹子，通過精巧的手，在不改造不破壞它的情況下，怎麼能做出扇子的結構。」

通過觀察團扇的製作，路易斯發現，這和源自他母親民族的扇子製作有相似之處。在他看來，中國的工匠給了他一種讓人驚訝的感覺，和世界上所有其他的工藝一樣，團扇的製作非常細膩、美觀，它被賦予了一種善意，代表了一群人的身份。

我的關鍵詞是:禮物。當你來到一個新的地方，它會教會你很多，你也會有很多想去傳達給這個地方的東西。這是為什麼我來這兒的原因。作為紀錄片製作者，除了本身的工作，還需要去多些機會去交流，去理解這份禮物。所以來到這裡以後，我學習到了很多。

My word isgift. when you go to a newcountry, the place has much to teach you and then what you have to teach to theplace.That is what I being got here. For the documentary of the marker, exceptof the work, you also have a chance to speak and to understand the 「gift」 .Soafter being there, I am learning a lot.

我的關鍵詞是「融合」。首先，團扇作為一種文化載體，融合了中國眾多的藝術類別；其次，在拍攝過程中，我們能認識到文化中相通的一部分，與不同的人因扇結緣，因善感動。

My key word is「integration". Firstly,the fan as a cultural carrier can integrate verity Chinese art gories; Secondly,during the filming shooting, we can recognize the the same part in different cultures,and people come to know well each due to the fan,and were moved my each becauseof the kindness.
