If Kyrie gets traded this summer, can we safely say that this has been the greatest offseason in recent memory? (self.nba)

After KD"s sneky snek move to the Warriors, the NBA has seen an interesting set of dominoes fall. Last season, after KD, guys like Boogie have moved on from their previous team. But holy shit is this offseason looking great or what? First Lonzo Ball hype alongside what could be the best ensemble of rookies we"ve seen in one draft. Then DLo being moved followed by Butler, Trillsap, Hayward FA, PG, VICTOR FUCKING OLADIPO CP3, and now possibly Kyrie and Me7o?!? Someone please tell me a better offseason than this.

EDIT: also, the #1 pick traded. sorry guys this was a REALLY eventful summer. hard to remember everything off the top of my head

That was the original Linsanity year, when Lin originally became a cult hero.

I don"t know, the offseason that the Miami Heat Big 3 assembled was pretty crazy. You had a top 3 of all time player leave his home team, you had Bosh and Wade and James all on one team, Stoudamire went to NYK, I"m probably missing other stuff. Not as many pieces but I felt like we had earth-shaking contender change with Cavs going straight to lottery.

The fact that the #1 pick being traded is like, the 8th or 9th most shocking thing is saying something for sure. 2010 was pretty good, too, but it all ended a few days after The Decision. There"s about a month and half to go til training camp and the stove is still hot.

In terms of actual basketball impact, probably.

But the DeAndre saga was so much more entertaining than anything that has happened this year. So many great moments.
