DESIGN CONCEPT

取靈感於窗外的山巒景觀，「巒」的空間規劃以層疊式設計為中心，形體結構如山巒般層層呈現，給予人心境的安定與富足。

Inspired by landscape ofhills outside window, spatial planning of Ridge is centered on the design approach of layering, that is, showcasing the structure layer by layer likehills, which turns out to provide habitant with an initial state of peace and abundance.

客餐廳一體的開放式空間，使得有限面積里視覺觀感達到最大化。天花板木格柵與灰色霧面地磚平行相對，將整個空間在橫向上無限延展。低彩度的冷色調穿插於細膩的材質關係，加之光影變化下的明暗轉換，盡致刻畫出空間多面向的層次。

Living & dining roomsare connected as one bigger space, maximizing visual perception in limited area. Wooden grid ceiling is parallel to gray matte floor tiles, together extending the whole space horizontally. Cool colors with low chromaare applied in delicate materials. Under the change of light and shade, itreaches multi-oriented spatial level.

大窗戶前布滿歲月痕迹的舊木，與黃銅茶几的光亮表面形成鮮明對比，材質的混搭倒也為空間平添了幾分趣味。出自荷蘭建築師里特維爾德的紅藍椅，在靜謐的深色背景中擔當主角，彷彿從無聲映畫中跳脫，開啟現代建築語彙與低度設計空間的對話。

In front of floor toceiling window, old wood covered with traces of years is in sharp contrast with polished surface of brass tea table, adding a bit of fun for the space through materials mixing and matching. Red and blue chair by deceased Dutch architectRietveld plays the lead role in a quiet dark background, as if coming out fromthe silent picture to initiate a conversation between modern architectural vocabulary and low design space.

居住之外，「巒」的空間功能還注入了以文會友的閑情逸趣。而茶和酒，已然成為幽人雅士不可或缺的待客之物。舊木回到日用中化作茶几獲得新生，灰色玻璃圍合成酒窖仿若另一方天地。禪茶一體，酒通仙道，由屋主對品質生活的細節體現，可知其外在物質與內心靜篤的平衡探求。

In addition to dwelling,Ridge is bestowed with the function of leisurely social activities amongliterati. Tea and wine, which are indispensable for family hospitality, become essential elements for spatial arrangement. Old wood regains vitality afterre-used as tea table, while wine cellar surrounded by gray glass creates another space with an air of detachment. The implied meaning that Zen is fortea and Transcendence for wine is perfectly illustrated through the details ofhigh-quality life with a balance between external wealth and inner peace.

關於瑋奕國際設計

事務所成立於2003年，為讓設計理念能多方延伸發展，於2009年設立Newspaper為設計品牌。品牌符號N，運用東方文化裡中國書法破筆的方式呈現，意喻著事務所的設計理念。

Wei Yi International Design Associates was founded in 2003. For multi-directional extension of the design concept, the brand Newspaper was set up in 2009. Brand symbol N is presented in the way of 「Po Bi」 of Chinese calligraphy in oriental culture; it implies the design concept of Wei Yi International Design Associates.

設計師方信原畢業於國立台灣藝術專科學校，曾任職於大元聯合建築暨設計事務所及李肇勳室內設計顧問有限公司；常透過對城市旅遊的方式，進行城市人文的觀察及研究。事務所致力於將低度設計運用於住宅規劃、研究，並探討人們居住在這樣低度的空間裡，各層面所產生的影響。

Designer Fang Xin-Yuan graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts, and served in Kris Yao Artech and SL+A International Asia. He always observes and studies urban humanity through travelling to different cities. Wei Yi International Design Associates is committed to applying low impact design into residential planning and research, and exploring the influence on every aspect of living in such low impact spaces.

作品曾登上多家國內外媒體，如德國《PLACES Of Spirit》、義大利《Marie Claire Italy》、紐西蘭《Home Living》等刊物；並獲得如台灣TID獎、台灣金點設計獎、香港APIDA亞太室內設計大獎、中國IAI、新加坡INSIDE World Festival of Interiors、德國iF設計大獎及德國設計大獎German Design Award、德國紅點Red Dot設計大獎、義大利A』DESIGN等獎項。於未來設計的方向，仍以低度設計為主軸，將文化、藝術、環保、經濟等相關元素，整合運用於設計規劃。

His works have been featured by many media both at home and abroad, such as 《PLACES Of Spirit》in Germany, 《Marie Claire Italy》in Italy, 《Home Living》in New Zealand etc.. He has won many awards, among which there are TID Award(Taiwan), Golden Pin Design Award(Taiwan), APIDA(HK), IAI(China), INSIDE World Festival of Interiors (Singapore), IF Design Award(Germany), German Design Award, Red Dot Design Award(Germany), A』DESIGN(Italy). For future design, invisible design will still be taken as centerpiece, and related elements such as culture, art, environmental protection and economy will be integrated and applied in design planning.
