這個系列正在使得馬特·里夫斯成為全好萊塢熾手可熱的商業片導演。當然，還有動作捕捉表演大師安迪·瑟金斯的加持，讓這群有智慧、有感情的猩猩們真正活了過來。
系列第三部《猩球崛起3：終極之戰》在北美得到了極高的評價，有93%的新鮮度。影評人們盛讚了這部電影的精彩表演和故事深度，但也指齣電影有些壓抑沉悶，不是觀眾們預期的那種輕鬆娛樂式爆米花大片。而這部被譽為猩猩版《金剛狼3》的電影在本周五終於在國內上映了，好不好看就親自一睹為快吧。
