沒人關注冬奧會,韓國急了

2018年第23屆冬奧會將在韓國平昌舉行,

但韓國民眾的態度似乎有些漫不經心

South Korea Aims to Boost Winter Olympic Ticket Sales

South Korea is having a tough time attracting more interests in the Winter Olympics.

韓國試圖吸引更多人關注冬奧會,但是這一過程並不順利。

Organizers for the 2018 Pyeongchang games have acknowledged that ticket sales remain frigid.

2018平昌冬奧會的組織者已經承認票房冷淡的情況。

The goal was to get more than a million spectators,with 70% expected to be local fans.

他們的目標是吸引100多萬的觀眾,希望其中70%是本地粉絲。

But in the first ticket sales window from February to June only 52,000 tickets were sold domestically, compared to the 750,000 seats organisers had forecast.

但從二月至六月的第一輪售票期來看,國內只出售了52,000張票,而組織者預計會賣出750,000張票。

So with just five months to go before the start of the games, organizers are looking for different ways to boost the numbers.

On September 5th, they reopened ticket sales online hoping for a late surge in domestic demand, as a games draw closer.

And in November tickets will go on sale offline at airports and train stations.

11月份,觀眾能在機場和火車站買到票。

The organising committee also said they plan to launch advertising campaigns on various platforms.
