Booking預定
What the customer says:
客人說：
"I booked a table for two for … (8pm). 我訂了2個人的桌子，是8點的。
"It s under the name of …" 預訂人的名字是……
"A table for two please." 我們有2個人。
What the waiter says:
服務員說：
"Of course. Please come this way." 沒問題，請跟我來這邊。
Or…
"Your table isn t quite ready yet." 您的桌子還沒有準備好。
"Would you like to wait in the bar?" 您想在bar等一下嗎？
"We re fully booked at the moment. Could you come back a bit later?" 我們餐廳目前全部滿了，您可以稍後再來看一下嗎？
Asking about the menu詢問菜單
These are phrases you can ask the waiter if you aren t sure of something on the menu.當客人對菜單里的菜有些疑問時，他們會問……
"What s … exactly?" 這個到底是什麼？
"Is this served with … (salad)?" 這個配菜是什麼？（沙拉嗎？）
"Does this have any … (seafood) in it?" 這個菜裡面有……嗎？（有海鮮嗎？）
"What do you recommend?" 有什麼推薦的嗎？
Ordering點單

"Can I take your order?" 我可以為你點單嗎？
"Anything to drink?" 想喝點什麼？

If there are problems with the order, the waiter can say:
如果點單過程中遇到問題，服務員說：
"I don t think we have any more … (lobster) left. I ll check with the kitchen." 我們應該沒有龍蝦了，我去廚房看一下。
"I m sorry, but the king prawn soup is finished." 很抱歉，大蝦湯沒有了呢。
Dealing with problems處理問題
What the customer says:
客人說：
"Excuse me, but I didn t order this." 不好意思，我沒有點這個。
"I m sorry, but this is cold." 不好意思，這個菜是冷的。
"Can I change my order please?" 我可以換菜嗎？
What the waiter says:
服務員說：
"I m so sorry about that…" 很抱歉……
"Let me take it back for you." (take it back = return it to the kitchen) 讓我把它退回廚房去。
"Let me change it for you." 我幫你換一個。
Getting the bill買單
What the customer says:
客人說：
"Can we have the bill please?" 我可以買單嗎？（其實就是口頭的，服務員！買單！）
"Could we get the bill?" 我可以買單嗎？
"Could we pay please?" 我可以買單嗎？
("bill" in British English; "check" in American English.) Bill是英式英語中的賬單，check是美式英語中的。

Sure, let me get bill for you, I will be right back. 好的，我去給你拿賬單，馬上回來。
Yes sure. How would you like to pay? 當然，您想如何支付？
Would you like to pay in cash or credit card? 您想用現金還是信用卡支付？
