[Isola] Carmelo Anthony tells @SiriusXMNBA that "a deal was done with Houston" in early July but that for "some reason...it didn"t go through."

Love is better than Carmelo for the Cavaliers until they face the Warriors. PG is far and away the best player they could have hoped to get, but it"s a different conversation when you consider he"d likely be a rental.

Melo is still laterally quicker, and therefore more versatile in switch situations. He also has more versatility offensively in that he"s just as good if not better at catch and shoot, but can also put the ball on the floor as opposed to Love being easily bottled up.

甜瓜橫移更快，換防時就更有機動性。而且甜瓜進攻端也更多變，接球就投能力絲毫不遜於樂福，他也能持球單打，不像樂福那麼容易死球。

I think with Melo it"s more effort and energy issues than talent or ability.

With 2 other stars to carry the offensive load, he"s probably going to be better defensively.

Also Harden will probably be better defensively this year.

Westbrook will also be better defensively.

I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at some of this as it happens.

我覺得甜瓜在防守端是努力和體力的問題，不是天賦或者能力的事。如果有其他兩個球星為甜瓜分擔進攻端壓力，他防守端是能變得更好的。

It was reported that there was a Cavs-Nuggets-Pacers deal that the Cavs and Nuggets agreed to and were ready to make the call to the league office about, but the Pacers backed out at the last minute.

It would"ve been Love to the Nuggets, Harris to the Pacers, and George to the Cavs.

I"m not sure what would"ve been done with Melo. This was before the Kyrie trade request.
