If you can already get a star player for it, it doesn"t make much sense to wait to the trade deadline (if your intention is to trade it for a star) since you can acclimate them into the team earlier. Otherwise just seeing what"s on the table won"t hurt. You can get a feel of how valuable (as viewed by the rest of the league) the BKN pick really is as an asset.
