The short-tailed weasel squats by the opening of his cave, smelling like a skunk.

「What brought you here in this early morning?」

「I』m looking for someone named Langlang. He will take my place as a storyteller,」 says Grandpa Storyteller.

「Gosh! What』s the smell?」 Carmelito and Carmen almost pass out.

「You don』t have to look elsewhere! I am the Langlang you』re looking for!」 says the short-tailed weasel excitedly.

Grandpa Storyteller takes a deep breath. He is about to speak highly of the weasel when the terrible smell knocks him out.

「Who can tell me why he is not up to the job?」 asks Beriot.

They travel tirelessly. They have visited all the Langlangs they can think of.

「To take over Grandpa Storyteller』s job? Sorry, but I haven』t finished my recovery vacation yet!」

「Telling stories? I might be interested, but I』m waiting for a kiss from a princess right now!」

「How dare you ask me, an honest raccoon, a question like this?!」

「Excuse me, may I ask you a question?」

「Sorry, but I』m busy!」

「Well, we don』t have to ask these guys, do we?」

It is the last night. All the stories will be forgotten.

Carmen, Carmelito, and Beriot feel gloomy.

The Langlang they just visited was an owl. She lived in the clock tower on the city hall.

But the gorgeous owl was not the real Langlang, either.

Grandpa Storyteller sits silently. He feels that he is a big loser.

He is going to die, and the fortune of the storyteller family is going to be lost with him.

Suddenly, Carmelito makes a surprising discovery...
