On 6 January 2017, when hosting The Radio 1 Breakfast Show, Sheeranrevealedthat "Shape of You" had originally been written with Rihanna in mind.
As he had already written all the songs he wanted for the album, the songwastherefore notintended tobe included in the album.
Itwasconceivedas aduetbetween Rihanna andRudimental(英國著名樂隊), but the head ofthe record labelconvinced him to keep the song for himself.

2017年1月6日，在出席電台節目「The Radio 1 Breakfast Show」時，Ed透露《你的樣子》原本是打算為女歌手蕾哈娜而寫的。(敲黑板：reveal就是揭露，透露的意思啦)
因為Ed已經給他的專輯已經寫好所有的歌了，所以這首歌本並不打算被包含在這本專輯內。(敲黑板：be intended to指：打算做…；規定為…有被動含義在裡面)
這首歌本是設想讓Rihanna（蕾哈娜!!!!）和Rudimental(英國著名樂隊)合唱的，但唱片公司總監最終說服Ed，讓他自己演唱這首歌曲。(敲黑板：conceive就是構思，設想的意思啦；duet：二重唱；record label：唱片公司)
