神為何不聽你的禱告？

主啊，求你救我脫離驕傲和自誇，給我看見一切的豐富和成就，都是出於你。主，我願迴轉，如同小孩子，倚靠你，定睛於你。求你的杖你的竿扶持不離，使我能向你忠信到底。

以西結書二十 1～9

- 1 -

第七年五月初十日，有以色列的幾個長老來求問耶和華，坐在我面前。

Now in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and they sat before me.

耶和華的話臨到我，說，

Then the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

人子啊，你要告訴以色列的長老說，主耶和華如此說，你們來是求問我么？主耶和華說，我指著我的生存起誓，我必不被你們求問。

Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them, Thus says the Lord Jehovah, Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live, I will not be inquired of by you, declares the Lord Jehovah.

人子啊，你要審問審問他們么？你當使他們知道他們列祖那些可憎的事，

Will you judge them, will you judge, son of man? Make them know the abominations of their fathers,

對他們說，主耶和華如此說，當日我揀選以色列，向雅各家的後裔舉手起誓，在埃及地使他們認識我，說，我是耶和華你們的神；

And say to them, Thus says the Lord Jehovah, On the day when I chose Israel and lifted up My hand to the seed of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt; when I lifted up My hand to them, saying, I am Jehovah your God;

那日我向他們舉手起誓，要領他們出埃及地，到我為他們探察過的流奶與蜜之地；那地是全地的榮耀。

On that day I lifted up My hand to them to bring them out of the land of Egypt to a land that I had spied out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all the lands.

我對他們說，你們各人要拋棄眼中所喜愛那些可憎之物，不可因埃及的偶像玷污自己；我是耶和華你們的神。

And I said to them, Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of your eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.

他們卻悖逆我，不肯聽從我；各人不拋棄眼中所喜愛那些可憎之物，也不離棄埃及的偶像。我就說，我要將我的忿怒傾倒在他們身上，在埃及地向他們發盡我的怒氣。

But they rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not, each one, cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Thus I thought to pour out My wrath upon them and to spend My anger on them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

我卻為我名的緣故行事，免得我的名在他們處於其中的列國人眼前被褻瀆；我在這列國人的眼前使他們認識我，為要領他們出埃及地。

But I did something for My name"s sake that it might not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in the midst of whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them in order to bring them out of the land of Egypt .

亮 光

長老來求問耶和華，主耶和華卻說，我必不被求問。何竟如此？為何神轉面不理他們？這要從以色列民在三個地方的表現說明。

首先，在埃及。那時神揀選以色列，使他們認識神，知道耶和華是他們的神；要領他們出埃及，進流奶與蜜之地，那地是全地的榮耀。他們卻悖逆不肯聽從神，不拋棄眼中所喜愛的那些可憎之物，也不離棄埃及的偶像。這幾乎使神在怒中滅絕他們，但是祂為自己的名的緣故，沒有這麼作，仍領他們出埃及。

我們只知道當初以色列的子孫在埃及地「生養眾多，並且繁茂」（出一7），等到有一個不認識約瑟的新王起來，他們才受盡虐待。只有以西結書告訴我們：他們在埃及地犯了可怕的大罪——拜埃及的偶像，玷污自己。即使神警告他們，要他們拋棄偶像，他們卻不肯聽從祂。

箴言二十八章九節說，「轉耳不聽律法的，他的祈禱也為可憎。」我們若不聽神吩咐我們的話，神也必不聽我們禱告祂的話。但「承認並離棄罪過的，必蒙憐憫」（二八13）。二十八章十三節是很好的一節我們該求主幫助我們不遮掩自己的罪過，而要承認並離棄罪過。
