GENERAL APPEARANCE:

The Staffordshire Terrier should give the impression of great strength for his size; a well put together dog, muscular, but agile and graceful, keenly alive to his surroundings. He should be stocky, not long-legged or racy in outline. His courage is proverbial.

斯塔福德郡梗犬因體型緣故給人以力量之感，身體結構佳，肌肉有力但靈活優美，對周圍事物感覺敏銳。該犬種須健壯，腿部不宜過長，整體外觀不宜過於運動感。其勇氣眾所周知。

HEAD:頭部

CRANIAL REGION:顱部區域

Medium length, deep through.

中等長度，深。

Skull: broad.

Stop: Distinct.

FACIAL REGION:面部區域

Nose:Definitely black.

鼻：一定為黑色。

Muzzle:Medium length, rounded on upper side to fall away abruptly below the eyes.

Lips:Close and even ; no looseness.

Jaws/Teeth:

Well defined. Under jaw strong and to have biting power. Upper teeth to meet tightly outside lower teeth in front.

Cheeks:Very pronounced cheek muscles.

臉頰：咬肌明顯。

Eyes:Dark, round, low down in skull, set far apart. No pink eyelids.

Ears:Set high. Cropped or uncropped, the latter preferred. Uncropped ears should be short and held rose or half prick. Full drop to be penalized.

耳朵：位置高。剪耳與否都可，傾向於不剪耳。如未剪耳，則耳朵應短，為玫瑰耳或半立耳。完全垂耳為缺陷。

NECK:Heavy, slightly arched, tapering from shoulders to back of skull. No looseness of skin. Medium length.

頸部：粗壯，略呈拱形，從肩部至頭骨後部逐漸變細。皮膚無鬆弛感。中等長度。

BODY:軀幹

Topline：Back fairly short. Slight sloping from withers to rump with gentle short slope at rump to base of tail.

Loin: Slightly tucked.

腰:略向上折起。

Chest:Deep and broad. Well sprung ribs; close together, deep in rear.

Short in comparison to size, low set, tapering to fine point; not curled or carried over back. Not docked.

FOREQUARTERS:前軀

FOREQUARTERS: Front legs straight, with large bones. Set rather wide apart to permit chest development.

Shoulder:Strong and muscular, with blades wide and sloping.

Hair:Short, close, stiff to the touch, glossy.

Colour:Any colour, solid, particolour, or patched is permissible; but more than 80% white, black and tan, and liver not to be encouraged.

SIZE AND WEIGHT:尺寸和重量

Height at the withers:

Height and weight should be in proportion.

A height of about eighteen to nineteen inches (46 - 48 cm) at the shoulder for the male and seventeen to eighteen inches (43 - 46 cm) for the female to be considered preferable.

高度和重量應成比例。公犬肩高約在18到19英寸（46-48厘米），母犬肩高約在17到18英寸（43-46厘米）。

FAULTS:缺陷

FAULTS:Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree and its effect upon the health and welfare of the dog.

Dudley nose.

Undershot or overshot mouth.

Light eyes.

Pink eyelids.

Tail too long or badly carried.
