Lemon Tree由Fool』s Garden（傻子的花園）於1996年首唱,使這支原本寂寂無名的德國5人樂隊一下子紅遍歐洲、亞洲，在被蘇慧倫翻唱後也開始為國人熟知。
英語中，為了表示動作正在進行，我們用be動詞加-ing形式構成。其中，be的現在時（am, is, are）加V-ing構成的就是現在進行時。

現在進行時在幾大時態中，雖然不是最難理解的，卻因其「出其不意」的用法，常令我們不明所以。現在就給大家具體講講現在進行時的用法：
現在進行時 （be + V-ing）
1. 表示說話時正在進行的動作：
Whatareyoudoing?
你在幹什麼？
Heis playingbasketball now.
他現在正在打籃球。
2. 表示現階段一直進行的動作：
Lucyis studyinglaw
whileher sisteris doingphysics.
露西學習法律，她姐姐學習物理。
（動作在說話時不一定正在進行）
3. 表示按照計劃即將發生的動作（正在進行表將來）：
（動詞為come，go，leave，depart，arrive，stay，start等，且主語必須為人）。
Heis leavingJinan in a few days.
幾天後他將離開濟南。
Heis coming.
他就要來了。
4. 表示剛剛過去的動作：
（動詞為某些表示說話的詞：tell，talk，say等）
Believe it or not, Iam tellingthe truth.
不管你信不信，我說的都是實話。
I don』t know what youare talking about.
我不知道你們在說什麼。
5. 表示某種感情色彩：
與頻度副詞（always, continually,constantly, for ever）連用。
Heisalwayscomplainingabout the house.
他總是抱怨這間房子。
Sheiscontinuallyfindingfault with me.
她總是對我吹毛求疵。
6. 表示婉轉語氣：
（僅限hope,wonder等少數詞。）
Iam hopingyou will give us some advice.
我希望你會給我們一些建議。
Iam wonderingif you can help us.
我想知道你能否幫我們。
7. 表示「逐漸」：
（適合該用法的動詞有：
bet，grow，become，turn，run，go，begin，
forget，remember，die，finish，find以及rise等。）
The leavesare turning redin autumn.
秋天樹葉漸漸地變紅了。
Our countryis becomingbetter and better.
我們國家正變得越來越好。
8. 「be」動詞的現在進行時：
表示說話者認為是短暫的、和平常不一樣的、甚至是偽裝的一種現象。
（一般是「be」與表示人的特性、性格的形容詞連用，如：foolish，nice，kind，careful，patient，
lazy，silly，rude，polite，impolite等。）
Heis beingfoolish.
他在裝傻。
Sheis beingrude.
她故意表現粗魯。
綜上
若是要用進行時態表示「動作」正在進行，其中的動詞就必須為表示持續動作的動詞。如若不然，進行時態就具有了特別的含義，需要我們具體分析。
