我們在受用法的時候,又不要執著法

如果你知道那個真實的目的,就知道這些方便都是很殊勝的。

雖然說小乘聲聞、緣覺的次第,所講的十二因緣法不是究竟了義的,但是這個是往究竟了義的路上去的,所以從這個角度上來說,叫」無二亦無三,唯有一真實。「為了這一真實,所以又有二又有三,又有次第,一點一點地走在去往究竟了義這個方向的路上。不管怎麼樣,這都不是真的,只是一種方便, 讓你能達到目標,因此你不能執著在這個上面。

Although the 『twelve links of dependency』, a fundamental doctrine in the Shravakayana and Pratyeka- buddhayana, are not absolute truths, they lead us towards ultimate realisation. Although there is only one absolute truth, there are many steps available for us to reach it. Nonetheless, we should bear in mind that these 『steps』 are only skilful means. We should neverfeel satisfied or attached to intermediate spiritual stages we arrive at.

所以有的人修小乘,就執著小乘, 誹謗大乘,這個就說明他不懂佛法。執著大乘的誹謗金剛乘,又有的人把金剛乘當作實有的法,又誹謗小乘、大乘, 這都是不對的因為所有這些法的真實目的就只有一個。如果你知道那個真實的目的,就知道這些方便都是很殊勝的。

There are people who practice and attach themselves to the 『Small vehicle』 of Dharma but distain the 『Great vehicle』. This suggests that they don』t really understand Buddha- dharma. Likewise, some practitioners of the Great vehicle disdain those of the 『Vajra vehicle』, while practitioners of the Vajra vehicle disdain those of the Small or Great vehicles – this is all wrongdoing. All these teachings are leading to the same destination. If you understand this, you will know that all these skilful means are wonderful.

方便就是接引眾生的。實際上為了達到目的,也要舍掉這個方便。所以法是極其殊勝的,法不是為了法,法是為了接引眾生,為了眾生解脫,但是我們在受用法的時候,又不要執著法,而要踏著法的階梯,一級一級地進步,級級高升,這樣下去,離我們的目標會越來越近。

Skilful means are only there to help sentient beings. However, these skilful means should eventually be abandoned when one reaches the ultimate goal. Although all Dharma teachings are wonderful, they are not there purely for the sake of their wonder, but to help sentient beings achieve liberation. When we benefit from a Dharma teaching, we should not attach ourselves to it but keep making progress, climbing the ladder of Buddha-dharma step-by-step. By doing this, we will be able to get closer and closer to our ultimate goal.

迴向

文殊師利勇猛智

普賢慧行亦復然

我今迴向諸善根

隨彼一切常修學

三世諸佛所稱嘆

如是最勝諸大願

我今迴向諸善根

為得普賢殊勝行

賢劫千佛心 響崖大德知

現後中救我 脫輪到菩提

我今皈依十方一切諸佛世尊

已得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提

未轉無上法輪

欲捨報身入涅槃者

我皆至誠頂禮勸請

轉大法輪

雨大法雨

燃大法燈

照明理趣

施無礙法

莫般涅槃

久住於世

度脫安樂一切眾生

如前所說乃至無盡安樂

我今以此勸請功德

迴向阿耨多羅三藐三菩提

如過去未來現在諸大菩薩

勸請功德迴向菩提

我亦如是勸請功德迴向無上正等菩提
