「大量的」 如何用英語說？

昨天，有同學問諾諾："大量的"到底都有哪些說法呀？後邊能接可數還是不可數名詞？一直分不清楚···

今天，我們就來一起整理一波 "大量的"相關的表達，及其對應的搭配

既能接可數，又能接不可數名詞

1. A lot of

2. lots of

3. plenty of

筆記：以上3種說法，強烈推薦大家用於托福和雅思的口語中！

只能接可數名詞

1. Many

2. (many a/ an)

3. a great many

4. a great/large/good/considerable/ substantial/significant/ small/low number of

5. numerous

6. countless

7. innumerable

8. a multitude of

9. a myriad of

10. a host of (when something seems surprising or impressive)

11. a raft of (ideas, suggestions, changes in business or politics)

12. copious (existing or being produced in large quantities)

13. abundant

14. (scores of)

15. dozens/hundreds/thousands/millions of

16. (tons/loads of)

17. (quite a few)

筆記：括弧中的說法比較口語化~要想真正掌握這些短語的用法，需要三步走：

【2】在下一篇作文中有意地使用這個短語

只能接不可數名詞

1. Much

2. a good/great deal of

3. a large/immense/small amount of

4. large/considerable/enormous/copious small/tiny amounts of

5. a large/small/vast/huge/considerable/ enormous/ substantial quantity of,

6. (oceans of + liquid)

7. (abundant supply of = more than enough)

筆記：oceans of一般修飾液體，一定記得：a great deal of後邊都不接可數名詞！

請注意extensive, immense, enormous, huge, vast這些詞的意思不是「多」，而是「大」。所以要用這些詞來修飾number/amounts等詞之後，才能表達「大量的 = 多」的意思。

一些動詞

1. Abound in/with + 可數名詞

2. bombard somebody with 可數/不可數名詞

筆記：1.這兩個動詞其實超實用，例句如下：

（1）Examples of this abound.

（2）Today we are being bombarded with information in the digital age with emails, phones calls, and messages constantly competing for our attention.

（3）特別注意：

在雅思小作文中，the number of後面只能接可數名詞，而the amount of後面則只能接不可數名詞！
