「榨橙汁」怎麼說？

大家都知道橙子是orange，橙汁orange juice。那麼，問題來了，怎麼說「榨」橙汁？

上個禮拜婆婆給我們寄了一袋橙子讓我們榨汁喝。第二天我們聊天她問道，「Did you juice the oranges?」 對，你沒有看錯，「榨」的英文就是「juice」。

你可能會覺得奇怪，因為juice是果汁。不過，juice也可以做動詞。我們來看看朗文詞典對juice的解釋：

juice做名詞：

［countable, uncountable］the liquid that comes from fruit and vegetables, or a drink that is made from this（可數或不可數）果汁，蔬菜汁；或者由果汁／蔬菜汁做的飲品。

e.g. a carton of orange juice 一盒橙汁。

e.g. A coke and a tomato juice, please. 一杯可樂和一杯番茄汁。

juice做動詞：

［transitive］to get the juice out of fruit or vegetables. （及物動詞）從水果／蔬菜中獲取果汁／蔬菜汁。
