馬戲之王：勵志音樂劇
想看這部電影已經很久了。久到去年狼叔剛開始在Instagram上放劇照和預告，我就開始等待它的上映。
狼叔作為一個大號的音樂劇迷弟，他主演的音樂劇當然讓我們星星眼式期待，尤其是幾年前他主演大獲成功的《悲慘世界》電影版。
雖然寇爺版悲慘世界是音樂劇迷心中不可代替的經典，但是狼叔的演繹還是讓我們深陷其中不能自拔，並且不自覺地開始期待他的新音樂劇電影，《馬戲之王》。
一句話概括，這是一部童話式的勵志片。
在我看來，勵志片分為兩種，一種是雞湯式的，一種是黃連湯式的。雞湯式的勵志片一般在說，只要你努力了，再難走的坎兒你也能跨過去，最終走向人生巔峰；黃連湯式的一般在說，生活就是這麼難，你的努力只能讓自己好過一點，但是要抱有希望，說不準哪一天你就走出苦逼生涯了呢。
生活一般是第二種，但是《馬戲之王》是第一種。
主角P.T.巴納姆從社會底層一路奮鬥，憑藉自己天馬行空的想像力、大膽的投資精神、一腔熱血和對家人的愛，從窮孩子到the Greatest Showman，開創世界第一家馬戲團的傳奇人物；從一無所有到名利、愛情雙收，有愛自己的老婆和孩子。最不濟也只是中途開了個小差，挫折了一下，最終還是迷途知返浪子回頭，人生巔峰。
從被所有人唾棄、鄙視，到最後走向成功。這不僅僅是巴納姆的故事，也是他馬戲團里那些被稱作怪物、畸形的人跟隨他的故事。
在巴納姆突發奇想把他們招進馬戲團之前，他們都曾自卑，看不到未來的希望。在馬戲團里，他們找到了彼此，找到了愛情，找到了抬起頭生活的力量。他們在聚光燈下凝聚起自信，無畏地走到了人們的目光下，活出自己的精彩。
一個多麼勵志的故事。對於每個人，都是happy ending。
但是這個故事終究會讓我們想到，生活不是這樣。雞湯再好喝也不可能包治百病——但不可否認，我們仍然需要它。不是因為它說的有多麼正確，而是因為這故事就是生活跌到谷底之後，覺得自己還能有向上的希望。或許它所說的成功，它所灌輸的自我認同意識可能永遠不會被實現，可能你後悔自己的決定回頭的時候已經為時過晚，但是這種「正能量」的價值觀，會給你製造出一種「一切都會好起來的」的期望。在這種期望下你會努力，你會走得更遠，或許最終你真的能走出生活的陰霾。
雞湯片存在的必要，就是你朝著它歷經磨難最後成功後回過頭來看，嗤笑一聲，說，成功哪有這麼簡單。

The Greatest Showman
I』ve waited to see this film for a long time. Ever since Hugh Jackman posted photos of the film on Instagram have I been expecting for it.
To me, there are two kinds of inspiring movies.The first kind is to tell you that you will succeed as long as you try, and that no matter how hard the difficulties, you will be able to pull through with your strong will. The second type is to tell you that life sucks, but you still have to fight for it, because it is a fact you can』t change, so you might as well make yourself more comfortable living within.
Well, life is normally the second type, butthe Greatest Showmanis definitelythe first type.
P.T. Barnum was a poor young boy who lost everything except from his dreams. With his fantastic dreams, bold investments, persisting will and love for his family, he became the greatest showman and opened the world』s first circus ever. He rose from nothing to everything, to fame and fortune, to love and family.
Once despised by everyone else, now fearless and successful: this is not Barnum』s story alone. This is also thes tory of those recruited into his circus, oddly-shaped and strange-looking people. They had talents, but their talents were buried beneath the prejudice that the world had towards them. But inside Barnum』s circus, they found each other,they found family, they found hope, and they found love. And most important ofall, they found confidence to face the injustice among world, and to live with their head held up high.
How inspiring. As if we know not these happy endings are merely fantasies to comfort us.
But we still need it. Not because what it describes is truth for everyone, not because we can achieve what we want just after trying, but because it gives us hope for a better life. It gives us the kind of belief that we can eventually achieve what we desire after hard working and persistence, even in most cases it is not quite true. But still, we strive for better lives, because this time, we have hope.
