此課程是針對紡織品設計專業方向大二學年的基礎技法類課程，是本專業中的重要必修課程，同時也是進入專業課的重要一環。其主要目的是通過教學讓學生掌握直線縫、曲線縫、搭縫、劈縫、分緝縫，卷邊等基本縫紉技法，可使用縫紉機獨立完成基本的縫紉操作，也為學生以後的深入學習提供技術支持。課程宗旨是使學生了解縫紉並熱愛縫紉。

本課程在設計上除了教授學生相關縫紉技法外，更加側重學生對縫紉的理解與應用。所以，在結課作業製作環節中，將三個班級的紡織品學生打散重組，自建團隊，以小組提案的形式分別自擬主題並陳述其設計理念，協作溝通完成結課作業。在作品製作過程中，通過團隊評測的方式不斷給予各組指導意見及輔導，尊重學生自身的發展空間，鼓勵其進行自主研究、主動探索的精神，在實踐中理解縫紉以及其在生產、生活中的應用。

This course is a basic technical course for the textiles in the second year of the college. It is an important compulsory course in this specialty, and it is also an important link to enter the professional course. Its main purpose is to teach students the basic sewing techniques such as straightline sewing, curve sewing, whipstitch, crack stitch and crimping. Sewing machine can be used to complete the basic sewing operation independently, it also provides technical supportfor students" further study. My purpose of this course is to acquaint the students with sewing and to love sewing.

In addition to teaching students related sewing techniques, this course focuses more on the students" understanding and application of sewing. Therefore, in the final work making process, the textile students of the three classes are separated and reorganized, and a team has been set up to draw up their own themes and present their design concepts in the form of Group proposals. In the final products making stage of the course, groups are continuously given guidance, critics and team evaluation, respecting the development space of the students themselves, and encouraging them to study independently and explore actively, understanding of sewing in practice and its application in production and life.
