劇情介紹：
傑克（讓-馬克?巴爾 Jean-Marc Barr）在希臘海邊長大，雖然小時候眼看著爸爸死於一次潛水事故，卻沒有削減傑克對大海的熱愛。當傑克的朋友恩佐（讓·雷諾 Jean Reno飾）找到他，勸說他參加潛水冠軍大賽時，傑克答應了，在比賽中成績突出勇奪冠軍，並且得到了喬安娜（羅姍娜?阿奎特 Rosanna Arquette飾）的愛。兩人打得火熱，傑克卻意識到他放不下、離不開大海。
意外發生了。好友恩佐在潛水中不幸喪生，傑克把恩佐的屍首放入大海當中，傑克的心中非常迷亂，他覺得自己不再屬於人類社會，只想潛進深海，像海豚一樣陪伴大海一生。儘管傳來了喬安娜懷孕的消息，傑克深情的看了看愛人，轉身投入了大海的懷抱。
