As it is April now, here are several upcoming events that going to take place in Xiamen this month.

展會 | Expo

The 2018 Xiamen Industrial Exposition (XMIE)is set to take place at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center from April 12th to the 15th .

Occupying a total area of 85,000 square meters,the 2018 XMIE will provide exhibition sections dedicated to specific sectors, with more than 3,500 standard booths for exhibitors.

The14th Strait Travel Fairis set to take place from April 20 to 22 in Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The activities held during the fair can be summarized as "Two plus two plus five plus N".

The first "two" signifies the two tourism-themed expos,namely,the 14th Strait Travel Fair and the2018 China (Xiamen) International Leisure Tourism Expo.

The2018 Color Heron World Music Festival,the biggest music event of the year,is about to open its door at Jimei Civic Square on April 30 for two days.

The festival takes the theme of「Magic」and fuses it with high-tech equipment to give the venue an ethereal effect,striking a contrast with what you"d usually see at traditional music festivals.

體育 | Sport

The2018 Xiamen Youth Campus Football Leaguewas officially started on April 1 with seven opening matches and will end in mid-May.

A total of 1,821 players from 162 schools across the city,including kindergartens,primary and secondary schools,will play 244 games in just over a month.

其他 | Others

Xiamen University』s scientific research vessel theTan Kah Kee,as well as theTara,a French research schooner that is set to visit Xiamen from April 2 to 10,will open their doors to the public next Saturday morning.

出行提醒 | Tips

TheQingming Festivalof 2018 falls on April 5. The mini holiday will run from April 5 to 7.

During the period,highway tolls will be weived for vehicles of seven seats or less,according to the local traffic authorities.
