It definitely seems more competitive, because most of the regular contenders lost steam towards the end of the season. Not sure what the situation will be a few more games in though.

There is a lot of parity in these playoffs. Every team has a player that casual fans can recognize, and most of these matchups are interesting as hell. The one caveat I have is I wonder if these ratings will stay up as we move into game 5-7. The bump could be interest in the opening games, but we"ll see.

Tbh I prefer a 3-1 with a competitive elimination game than a game 7 with teams trading blowouts. Feels like a fake game 7 when each team has just been winning by 25 at home

I agree, but not for the reasons you stated. The Warriors triggered a change in the NBA away from isolation, and more towards ball and player movement. It creates for a better quality basketball. No one enjoys watching Melo iso 50 times a game.
