I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way.
Just when you think you know something ,you have to look at it in another way. Even though it may seem silly or wrong , you must try . Now when you read , don"t just consider what the author thinks . Consider what you think. You must strive to find your own voice . Because the longer you wait to begin , the less likely you are to find it at all .
Thoreau said ,"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation ." Don"t be resigned to that . Break out .
很多陷入困鏡的時刻，可以嘗試著換個角度用不同的眼光看待事物，雖然很難，但我們不能放棄嘗試。這也是電影傳遞的一個重要觀點。

Perry是前期受Keating教授影響最深的人，看著他，從開始在父親的強壓下，小心翼翼的活著，不敢頂嘴，不敢說「no」,對他是憐惜的。後來他拿到"A Midsummer Night"s Dream"戲劇主角時，那樣的笑容，讓人很心醉。
"I am writing to you in behalf of my son Neil Perry ..."
Mr Anderson thinks everything inside of him is worthless and embarrassing.
我常常也是這樣，認為自己內心的想法全都沒有價值，都讓人笑話，所以都不敢說出來。
Keating教授說，需要一種野性的咆哮（a barbaric yawp）,釋放出野性的一面，才是智慧的起點。

電影中對人物形象表現得非常到位，從一些快速跳過的鏡頭裡傳達出了一個人的性格，以及後來的行為以及命運走向。
第一節課，Keating教授在Perry的朗讀聲中，轉向黑板畫書中描述的評價詩歌優劣的計算方法，這時出現了一個細節：Cameron拿出直尺跟著教授在自己的筆記本上畫圖形，畫得很工整。但當教授說這是屁話（Excrment），給予否定時，又切換畫面給了Cameron一個特寫鏡頭，他趕緊胡亂的劃掉已畫好的圖形。從這個細節中可以窺見他在一定程度上沒有自己的主見，容易隨波逐流。緊接著，keating教授讓大家把序言頁（the opening paragraph of the preface）撕掉（rip out）時，Dalton的大膽和瀟洒，Perry的興奮，與Cameron的左顧右盼形成鮮明的對比。Cameron在撕書頁的時同樣有一個特寫鏡頭，用直尺壓著書頁工整的一頁一頁的撕下，與其也同學胡亂撕下也形成了對比。看到電影的最後，發現這一幕幕特寫鏡頭都是為後來Cameron的「叛變」埋下伏筆。
