那麼你知道它們還有啥其他意思嗎？

就像我們中文裡面的「軟柿子」

還另有所指，英文里的水果是不是也有這樣的含義呢？

peach 桃子

指特別漂亮的東西，或極好的人

You』re such a peach！

你人好好啊！

banana 香蕉

go bananas 發怒、發瘋、犯傻

I』ll go bananas if you do that again.

你要是再這樣我就怒了！！

Oh it』s a Chan el』s bag! I』ll go bananas if I can get one.

哇！香奶奶的包包耶！我要能有一個我肯定發瘋了！！

cherry 櫻桃

a bite of the cherry 做某事的機會或時機

They were eager for a second bite of the cherry.

他們渴望能得到第二次機會。

cherry on the cake 蛋糕上的小櫻桃，指錦上添花

指紐西蘭人

kiwi指紐西蘭的國鳥，喙長、翼短、無尾、不能飛，後來才用來指紐西蘭人。

Where are you from？

你是哪國人？

Oh, I』m a kiwi.

（要知道，這可不是我是個獼猴桃的意思呀！）

我是紐西蘭人。

grape 葡萄

sour grapes酸葡萄，

指某人表面貶低某事物，實則是嫉妒

He said he didn"t want the job anyway, but that』s just sour grapes.

他說他本來就不想干這份工作，但這不過是吃不著葡萄說葡萄酸。
