學英語的都知道CALL是一個怎麼都熟悉不過的單詞，作為動詞用，有「呼喚，喊叫；召喚，叫來，召集；打電話給某人」的意思。如在老友記第一季第1集開頭，5個朋友在Central Perk咖啡館裡圍繞Monica約會的問題展開討論（注意Rachel還身著一襲婚紗，逃離婚禮現場，一路狂奔）。一貫幽默搞笑的Chandler講了一個高中時候做的一個奇怪的夢：全身赤裸站在學校餐廳中間，低頭一看，一個「大哥大」。突然，電話鈴響起（哪來的電話呀，，weird weird dream)，吸引了所有人的目光，他不知所措。最終醒悟，接了電話，是他媽媽打來的。他覺得很奇怪，他媽媽從來沒有給他打過電話的。

My call/not my call:（是我的決定/不是我的決定，更側重於做出決定，而不是責任）。This is much more about decisions than responsibility. In this situation you would say 「that』s not my call」- which really means that』s not my decision to make.

Some additional uses would include (it』syour call, (it』s not your call, and it really means it』s up to you in the end.（由你最終做出決定）

Good call:（好的決策）You made a good decision in that situation.

I saw the weather outside and decided to pack my snow boots. That was a good call!（---天氣越來越好了，我就收了雪地靴子。---決策英明啊）

Make the call:This is usually the traditional way that youwould use the word 「call」 in context. It can be about making a phone call oreven a decision actually. It may be formal or it may be informal so it hasmultiple uses.（根據上下文來定，是打電話或是做決定的意思）

Do you think that we』ll have to cancel the outdoor activities?

I don』t know, we』ll watch theweather and then make the call then.

Call the shots:You are the ultimate and total decision maker. This is the person who gets to make all the big decisions, usually at the top.（做出所有的最終的決策，是董事會主席的職位啊）
