「不要為自己積攢財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。只要積攢財寶在天上；天上沒有蟲子咬，不能銹壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。」

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:19-20 RSV
當電視上開始播出一個著名的股票經紀人的節目時候，大多數人立刻停止手上一切工作，擠到電視機前面。他說什麼，人就信什麼。但是，和這些大眾興趣相反的，我要問你：什麼是你可以依靠的、帶走的？你顯然帶不了你的金錢、房產、汽車、投資去天堂。在那裡，你不需要這些。但是，你可以提前寄一些東西去天堂，等你到的時候，你用得著。
一個老人，很虔敬的基督徒，即將離世之前，把孫子喊過來，對他說：我不知道神要我在天堂里做什麼。但是，如果他允許，我要給你蓋一座大樓。你要記得提前把足夠的建築材料寄過來。過聖潔的生活，帶領其他人歸主，奉基督的名做善事，都是屬於你可以寄到天堂的建築材料。這些材料不會受到經濟變化、自然災害、甚至盜賊出沒的影響。你準備寄什麼樣的建築材料去天堂？建設完工後，你要住的大樓是什麼樣的？
Some time ago there was a television commercial in which people stopped whatever they were doing when someone began talking about a well-known stockbroker. The message was that when this broker talked, people listened.What if I were to tell you that, contrary to popular belief, you can take it with you, depending , of course, on your definition of 「it」? Now of course, you cannot take your money or your house or your car or investments with you to heaven. You wouldn』t need them anyway. But you can send things on ahead so that they will be waiting for you when you arrive.
An old man, a great man of God, lay on his deathbed. He summoned his grandson to come to his side. Calling the boy』s name, he said, 「I don』t know what type of work I will be doing in heaven, but if it』s allowed, I am going to ask the Lord Jesus to let me help build your mansion. You be sure you send up plenty of the right materials.」Living a holy life, leading others to Christ as we share our faith, doing good works in Christ』s name, all of these things are materials that may be sent on ahead and can never be touched by the fluctuations in the earthly economy, by natural disaster, or by thievery.What kind of materials are you sending up to heaven? What kind of mansion will you live in when the building process has been completed?
