Last week,we read that Victor the gorilla got hurt and had to lie in bed, and his classmates in the Happy Forest brought gifts to him that reminded him of spring. As he was recovering, the spring rains came, and the small creek became a large river.

上周我們講到了皮皮猩Victor受傷躺在床上，Happy Forest的小夥伴們為他帶來了春天。Victor正在家裡休養，春水初漲，外面的小河漲起了大水。

This caused some problems for the students in the Happy Forest, though. They wanted to go to the other side of the creek to pick some fruit, but they were now stuck. Some of the small animals dared to try to cross, but they were washed downstream. Everyone was very alarmed.

不過，這可難壞了大家。因為很多小夥伴想要去對岸採摘果子，現在全被攔在了河的這邊。有些小動物冒險想要過河，結果都被河水沖走了。一時間，Happy Forest裡面人心惶惶。

When he saw the situation, Junior the lion knew what to do. He dreamed of being an architect, and he decided to build a bridge.

看到這樣的情形，一直夢想著成為建築師的小獅子Junior決定為大家建造一座小橋。

Junior cut down some bamboo and made pilings. He used the rest to make the surface of the bridge, and before long it was finished.

說做就做，Junior 砍好竹子，做成橋樁，再用剩下的竹子鋪好橋面，一座小竹橋就出現在了河面上。

However, not only did the bamboo bridge shake and sway, it began to rain heavier, and the water level continued to rise. It wasn』t long before the newly built bridge was washed away.

可是，這座小竹橋不僅搖搖晃晃，而且雨勢突然變大，河水更加湍急，剛剛建造好的小橋就被河水沖走了。

Junior felt very sad as he stood in the rain watching the water wash away his bamboo bridge.

Junior 沮喪地站在雨里，傷心地看著水中的小竹橋。

Junior was upset about this for a few days, but he prepared to try again. This time, he asked Oxford the bull for help making the blueprints.

這可確實讓 Junior 懊惱了好幾天，但是他馬上又重振旗鼓，還找來牛津牛 Oxford 幫忙設計圖紙。

Once the blueprints were finished, they gathered some stronger building materialsand finally built a bigger, sturdier bridge to span the creek.

圖紙畫好後，他們一起從森林裡面找來更加堅固的木材，終於一座更加高大、更加結實的橋樑穩穩地屹立在河上。

After this, no matter how strong the wind or heavy the rain, the children could cross the creek safely to pick fruit, and everyone commended Junior for his work. He was the chief architect in the forest.

從此無論颳風下雨，小夥伴們都可以自由地前往對岸採摘果實啦，大家都紛紛誇獎 Junior 是森林中的首席建築師。
