母親節是為了感謝母親為家庭的付出而設置的傳統節日，同時也是為了感謝母親們為社會做出的無私奉獻。那麼，關於母親節的傳統和來源有哪些呢？(Mother』s Day is an established tradition wherein mothers are honored for their special role in the family. The celebration also upholds motherhood and the part that moms play in the greater society.What are some of the facts and traditions that revolve around the celebration?)

今年的母親節是5月13日，即5月份的第二個星期日。(This year, Mother』s Day falls on May 13, the second Sunday in May in 2018.)

在母親節這天，家人們在教堂為世界各地的母親們祈禱。當然，家人們也會贈送禮物表達對母親的愛。通常來說，人們會給母親贈送鮮花和寫有祝福語的卡片，也有的家庭會與母親共進晚餐慶祝母親節。(On this day, families celebrate the holiday by praying in churches on behalf of mothers everywhere. Of course, gifts are also presented to moms on this day to express the family』s love for their mother. Flowers and cards with Mother』s Day greetings written in them are common gifts, and some families also celebrate with a special dinner to commemorate the occasion.)

世界上很多其它國家在全年的不同時間慶祝他們自己的母親節。但5月的第二個星期天是母親節，最初是美國人發起的，現在在中國也流行起來，給母親送上禮物和祝福，向母親表達感謝。(But the second Sunday in May is dedicated to Mother』s Day.Originally celebrated in the US, it has also become popular in China as a way to express gratitude to mothers with gifts and greetings. Some experts suggest China should have its own equivalent of Mother』s Day,instead of "borrowing" from the US. Should China create its own Mother』s Day?)

但一些專家建議中國也應當有自己的母親節，而不是「借用」美國的。那中國到底應該設立自己的母親節嗎？

其實這真的不是什麼大問題。只要你對養育你、給予你一切的母親心存感恩，每一天都可以是母親節。你不需要送給她禮物，只要告訴她你愛她，關心她，陪她逛街，為她做飯，甚至最微小的事都可以來表達。(This really is not a big issue, as long as you have appreciation for your mom who raised you and offered everything that she had, every day can be a Mother』s Day.You don』t have to give her a present, just tell her you love her, care about her, go shopping with her, cook for her, even the smallest thing can be affective.)
